IMO a chat room should be a thing available to everyone. A VIP-only chatroom would be a good thing alongside that but Chatrooms can really become the life of a forum.

No, actualy Waffle's idea is a good one, but will be a pain in the staff's arse becasue then they will have to make two chat rooms: One IRC chat room for public, and an AJAX chat room for VIP.

Buy me VIPs for absolutely no reason.

I like the idea of a VIP chatroom, but not a normal member's chatroom. You shouldn't really think about a chatroom becoming "the life of a forum" as a good thing because it just means more talking in chat as opposed to making real posts on the forum.

Still hasn't returned. And the whole staff left the site for good. Activity just vanished from there *sob*.

Staff left too? D: That's horrible. I used to be active on the forums long time ago too, but then I got banned.

I wish they fix the site, all forums are dying.

It's not about the forums. It's just people kept being childish and left the site just because of the chat room. Everything's fully functioning except for that. It's literally stupid. And the thing that I like about the DD community is how STRONG it is. It's so powerful that it survived about 3 disasters as far as I can remember and yet still going strong.
To make you feel better, I think that the staff can already make an AJAX chat just like PA's. Even better. The staff has so much potential to do wonders. I love all staff members, really.
