The DDC's have always been the highlight of what people were able to achieve with Pivot. There are plenty of Flash collabs as is.

I definitely vote just Pivot.

Nah, pivot has become the hallmark of the DDC since long. So, no. Hehe. I might start working on my second entry aswell.

Thanks everyone for voting. The reason I asked was because Secretname's entry was made in Clip Studio Paint.

Ussay, I also feel that it could be a natural progression. However, I understand why people want it to stay Pivot only, since DDCs are known as Pivot collabs.

Daniel, while I agree that there's plenty of Flash collabs there aren't any that are general site collaborations with no restrictions. Every single one follows a theme or story, while DDCs can be literally anything. If a Pivot collab with no restrictions can turn out so amazing, imagine what a Flash collab would be like.

Anyway, thanks for your votes and opinions guys. I was rather conflicted about all of this but felt that Pivot-only would be best as well. So yeah, thanks everyone.

You guys get your wish. The due date is now the 19th of March, 2017. Plenty of time to make some kick-ass entries now. :D

can we make the due date december 2017?

Would anyone bother getting it done?

I respect the decision on DDC being pivot only. However that means I will not make an entry. I was planning on doing a style similar to pivot in 3D.
I'm afraid I cannot commit to spending so many hours on the real pivot anymore.

Good luck everyone

D: Oh well. I'd actually look forward to that.

EDIT: Are we allowed multiple entries?

Understandable, since Pivot can feel limiting after being used to those other programs.

I wonder how a collab dedicated to the other programs section would go. Some of our members have lots of experience and moved on from Pivot (such as yourself), then there's others who have dabbled in other software for fun. I think it could be cool.

Yeah, perhaps a DDC sort of collab that is not Pivot exclusive could be interesting. Would defo animate something in Flash for it.

I've had a few ideas, but nothing concrete.

That would be awesome. I would likely participate as well.

Is there a time limit for the animation? What would be the ideal length for it?

If you wish to create something over 1~3 minutes long, then by all means.
