That was really nicely done, trails would allow you to do bigger spacing and add more power to the slashes but in general you pulled it off pretty good.

I don't know why, but the bendy look you had in that animation looked really nice. It looked sort of awkward, but nice probably because of the big arcing motions you displayed. There was some nice power and flow to the animation.

I really like that sword stick! I might thief it for later.

The movements were nice, especially in the first two strikes, but I really thought the remaining attacks were a bit uncoordinated and just looked like the stickman was randomly swinging his sword around in the air trying to fight off some zubats or something. Some more structure would have made it perfect my friend.

Smooth and controlled movements are just how I like it. The only thing that bothered me somewhat is that you didn't use a stick that animates the transition when re-positioning the sword to face the other direction, which is especially obvious since the sword you used is really curved.

Either way, top-notch stuff!

Yeah, I made this animation knowing that I was going to put it in freestyle. When I use the sword in an animation that I'd thread I'll definitely use different angle variations of it. I made the sticks for it, so there were no other angle sticks for it available and I'm not going to go way out of my way for a freestyle animation.
