Heres the piv just in case anyone wants to show me sumthin else I could have done.
It's smooth, but damn that dude has a weak punch. He's leaning forward the entire time, try using his back to help display the power. Start with him leaning back and as he throws the punch have his back move forward with his arm. The power of your punches comes from your own body weight.
I'd like to add that you can have him lean forward for the fighting stance. Just move his back backwards and make it curve a bit out when he winds up the punch. This will also force you to get the timing right, rather than rushing the punch out. I think you could have 1 or 2 more frames where he brings his arm back and 1 less when he actually punches. If you look at an actual real life punch, you'll see that the arm accelerates really fast, so you can use that first frame you used for the punch to keep the arm back a bit more and then just immediately get into the punching frame.
If you want I can animate something for you to show some things off.
