The name's Fatal Art

I had no idea stuff like this was possible... I just saw some videos of the game. It's really exciting to know some of you guys here in Darkdemon work on it too.

May I suggest taking a look at a game Sifter helped work on? He made a post about it here.

Also, this is amazing Flame! You animated all of the different movements beautifully. I'm very excited to see how it looks in the final game.

That's amazing, I'm curious how it'll turn out in the game. Keep it going!

more stuff and more things
Heavy punch:

Variations of a special attack:
Light version (light punch key pressed), knocks the enemy away
Image

Heavy version (heavy punch key pressed), launches the enemy upwards
Image

The EX version (light punch and strong punch keys pressed both at once), bounces the enemy off the ground

they're fun to do because they take barely any effort tbh

they may not take any effort, but they still take time since you still want a decent a result.

looking great.
How many different animationcycles/moves did you do now for the character? looks like he's almost done.

Nah not really, each of them took like 10-15 minutes

So far all the basic movements except diagonal jumps, all normals (normal attacks) except for crouching heavy kick and heavy punch, and jumping light punch and heavy punch. As for specials, i still have to do variations of the special kick (the Light and the EX versions to be exact) and of course, the Hyper Art, which is basically the strongest attack the character has. I'm almost done with him yeah. When i've finished his stuff i'm gonna get down to doing me some DDC13 stuff cause i haven't done shit for it yet lol.

On another note, there is an open online beta version of the game already available to public. I can link the download as well as the discord server where people usually match up if anyone is interested.

Edit:
Made some new specials (one of them's not really new)
Light Version (Shorter range, lower damage but comes out quicker)
Image
Strong Version (Longer range, higher damage, comes out slower but knocks down)
Image
The EX Version (Has a followup low sweep in case someone dodges the high kick)

Those are stupid smooth man, I love the moves you're incorporating. What kind of program lets you use animation and character design from pivot in the game? Would of loved to make a video game with one of my full bodies.

Wow man I'm very impressed. That special attack looks very video-gamey, probably helped by the way you animated the hands stopping as he was in anticipation.

The other three animations are ace. What I really like in these is how you've used squash and stretch to add even more power. Also, that bottom animation with the sweep attack was so fun to watch. It has a very lively and free sort of feeling about it.
