Is the landing here really weak, or is it just me?

It's between weak and reasonable, but to me it's pretty good. The animation itself is good, continue it man.

Edit: It just needs to be more frames in between his back kick and his stop/land. Say 3 or 4.

It's fucking weird, he jumps super far and instantly stops.

Edit: fix the distance and the kick stuff. Boring animation non the less.

Naah, the distance will stay, I quite like it
And the kick isnt even done dude so dont worry, it'll get better

Just maybe fix the foot placement.

He has too much momentum to suddenly stop like that... The step helped but still didn't fix it. Maybe do a roll or something?

That's loads better. I can't spot anything wrong with that.

I know you've changed the animation, but I'd definitely recommend an arcing motion when the stick an stops and steps back. With the way you had animated it, momentum went to the left, stopped, and then went to the right. If you arched the origin it would have changed the direction o the momentum instead of stopping it. Another thing that would have helped would have been to use slower easing when the momentum is stopping.

But that's just some advice if you try that sort of thing again. As I said, the current animation looks much better.

Oh, you mean in the first couple of frames?
