so much fun. yay. wave your hands like you don't care.

it's hard to animate with alot of transparent sticks in the background, they're big and make everything laggy..

Notice how the shoulders should move slightly when turning the head. But ugh, the facial expression are so well done. You can already tell how he feels and what not.

I like it bro. The animations you make are always so interesting. You should animate more.

Haha :D

Nice anim though, movements weren't too flowy on the face.
Keep it up!

my stick might don't have a neck, but still should be able to move his head to a side without moving his shoulders (you can do that in real too^^)

but besides of that, I was just testing the eyes stick and eyebrows if theyre usable without having too many nodes or the need to change too much sticks for a 3d-ish view. (no changing needed : D )
but thanks alot for your comment, also for your cc, even though it was a simple test- it gives me a good hint not to forget about shouldermoving when i do something longer. :)

@echo, i'm okay with "bro" lol. (:P

eyebrows should be used more often though, you can put in so much more feels into a sticks face with them. and now since it is easier to move multiple figures in one move (attaching sticks), it is way easier to make them smooth.

Yeah my anims could be better looking with eyebrows. But I ain't got time for that... that's probably the reason that keeps me from progressing too lol

take the time to do it, and it will be aweseome (thumbsup
patience is the most important thing in animating.

I can't tell you how often I was about to post something of my projects, but i didnt, just to avoid myself of putting it down. (i often didnt finish it then, because the comments sometimes were too much, like, "you didnt add this, it doesnt look realistic enough, it doesnt look cartoonish enough" etc, that brought me down)
thats why i keep posting the tests which i need to make for my projects. sometimes just to show that i didnt stop again, sometimes to show the awesomeness figures and features possibilities and sometimes just because i tried something out and want to let peoplpe know what kind of beautiful stuff is possible in pivot.

Actually the critism is what brought me to animate as good as I animate now, so it's hard to imagine stopping because of that...
Though it's nice that you kept animating, ur good at it for a girl, my gf can't animate for shit lol

Re: my freestyles/tests - some making of packed in a video

Postby Coweetie » Sat Sep 20, 2014 3:11 pm

phpBB [video]

putting some of my stickmaking/animating in a video was the only way i could think of to show a little of my projects without actually showing the animations i made. (didnt want to post screenshots)

that happy spider can be found here (dont judge too hard, it was made for fun, obviously)
