You don't have to, as I said there are many ways to get it for free - Elliott put it quite nicely so to compensate we are offering ways of gaining it without paying, if you wanna be part of the exclusive section of TDD then you gotta get involved (either by posting, animating/art for comps, site contribution or in give-aways).

We are trying to make it so that not 95% of members have access to what is supposed to be an exclusive service while at the same time promoting activity and funding for the site's future.

Yea normally we would just give you guys VIP if you had it previously on DD. Although our reason behind not doing that is because there would be no way of generating money for the site. This way instead of pinning all of the fee's on one person(which is bladez right now), the community can help keep the site running by buying features like VIP access. This will also help us generate prize money for competitions we host on the forum. Giving people more incentive to finishing their entries and making the competitions more successful. Otherwise we just have to hope for donations, which you can't always rely on. I hope this doesn't sound too unfair to some of you. Like Lush said, as long as you guys are really dedicated to this site, you'll eventually get VIP back through competitions/give aways if you'd rather not buy it again.

That's exactly what it is. All of the money we get from VIP purchases goes towards the site. Either for hosting or for competitions.

Also for anyone interested in getting VIP, without hitting the 200 post count. Just donate $5 to the site using the donate button at the top of the site. Once you've done this, you should be given a transaction code. Just copy it and link it to me in a PM. If you don't get one don't panic. Just PM me and we'll work it out. But once you've done this I'll give you VIP.
