Nostalgia, that's why. I always felt VIP wasn't quite right compared to the original DD setting, makes me feel good and like home to see it in it's proper colour. I'm thinking the default rank bar could match the colour a bit better though.

Eugh, I really dislike post colours and when people just change their font and formatting. I mean, people have avatars, names, signatures, isn't that enough? It's like people who actually sign their individual posts like acutelatios on stickpage. I mean, you have a signature. Clue's in the name.

But yeah, font colours. People get pissy calling me entitled or some shit when I bitch about them but I'd rather people be recognised by their name and what they've done rather than the rainbow special-snowflake post formatting.

People are usually pretty sensible with their colour choices and I think it breaks up the monotony of reading greyscale copy. What's so bad about it?

One or two people doing stuff like that isn't bad, like Tuna. His font's a nice colour. But then this encourages other people to do it, and before you know you have kids with lime green or eyerape red.

Either that or I'm picky as hell. I mean, I'm finding myself annoyed a lot nowadays with stuff like crazy post formatting and signatures that take up half my screen.
