Apart from the attacker being stiff on his legs while using telekinesis (or whatever caused the scythe to turn purple and fly at the defender) and the defender idling in a statue-like manner before being attacked, the movements are pretty rapid, yet fluent. I like it!
The suplex anim seems to suffer from similar problem - a stick stays completely still until it's attacked. I think that it would also help if you were to make attacker lift the defender more forcefully off the ground. Back to the stiff sticks, I get that you might choose to stiffen them for some reason. Make use of it for not, but whenever I stiffen my stickmen throughout the animations, I keep them awkward throughout the entire anim's length.
