I think one simple fix is getting a movable background so you can simulate simple 2D camera movement without having to move the stick figures individually. Look forward to seeing the combat though!

Is stuff like this still considered beginner?

Cause that's at least med-Intermediate from back in my days.

Might not be the place to ask but why does everything I post have to be approved by someone?

It's only for your first 5 posts. We have it in place to make sure you aren't a bot or anything.

I agree, definately inter quality work. Really digging the flow of this anim, it has a lively bounce to it, made me lol a bit. Great work Henjo, I'm sure you'll have the next test. (thumbsup

The light sabers look great, maybe watch some star wars fight scenes for inspiration, also try to link one attack movement into another so the fight can have flow to it, can't wait to see how it turns out. (smile

Looks great so far, love the fast punching combos, just seeing some shakiness in their lower legs and feet. Also noticed that the stick's feet are moving downward, not sure if its a moving camera effect, maybe add some kind of ground or object to fill up some of that empty space around the sticks and so they can have a more defined area to move about, and it makes camera effects much more noticeable. As for continuing the anim, maybe you can have the falling stick land on a platform and the black stick jump down there with him and continue the fight from there. Great work. (thumbsup
