I don't know but your newest animation looks abit, weird. I don't know if it's the frame rate, the lack of power or the inconsistent spacing but maybe you should just stick with small tests so you can get some basics down. Stop trying to do so much at one time and take it slow, take in the experience. Have fun.

You should think about making the thread a bit cleaner.

Hi there, I thought I'd drop by.

So, your animations need quite a bit of work. The way you animate runs is pretty good but the rest is not quite on par with them. What I suggest is watching through your animations as you're making them. Use the "<" and ">" buttons to scroll through your frames and look at 1 red dot every time you do it. See if it follows a nice line throughout the frames and is nicely eased. If you don't know what easing is, I suggest going to the tutorials section and looking at Reap's Tutorial.

If you want some more personal advice, feel free to hit me up with a PM and I'll see what I can do for you.

Edit: Also, if your stickmen are going to punch each other, make sure to have 1 frame where the stickman's hand actually hits the other stickmen where he's punching. Same goes for kicks and other stuff.

Senzo uses the arrow keys, trust me on that one. It's not like it's cheating, it helps so much and makes it easier to get better at animating.

Bullzeye, I really enjoy your animations but you really need to focus on the basic movements of the sticks and easing.

Make sure you make an attempt to ATLEAST move a majority of your stks joints per frame.

I enjoy the motorcycle animation despite the high fps, I see a major improvement in easing, you should try to aim on animating on that style BUT do not rely on high fps to keep your animations smooth.

I really love your newer animation, it truly shows the potential you have as an animator. I love the effects and the idea was great. On the other hand, there's still some choppiness because you aren't moving your joints properly. Make sure you keep them fluid and related to each frame as you continue.

My tip is for you is to study some higher level animators animations and see how they're movements are compared to yours. Although your style maybe completely different from there's, you can work on improving the fluidity and removing choppiness by seeing how they flow between each frame and not stop a moving a joint completely after a frame where you had moved it before which is a big problem I see in your animations.

Some animators you can study from that I personally enjoy (they post there piv files most of the time so you can study them):

Cressel(he's my favorite animator in the forum studied a lot his animations and effects and emulated them decently), Marv, NP

I know you've checked out the tutorial section from the Darren's lightning bolt you used but still check it regularly for updates.

Rank: Med Beginner, I see you improving quickly if you fix your basic movements, so for now less effects more practice!

Hey dude, nice to see you back.

You need more frames inbetween your movements, even if it looks sluggish you'll still have somewhere to start.
For the meantime, you have to work on your buildups and to slow things down. When the red arm thing came into the animation it appeared to quick, make it so that he reacts to it getting onto his arm and then continue the animation. :)
Hope that helps!
