Pulse's Thread (Dat Blur)

Postby Pulse » Thu Oct 30, 2014 5:25 pm

Hey. I'm Pulse. These are my anims (no crap). I'm open to any constructive feedback.

Credz to PinkPivot for base ^ (He's a lot better at stick making than he is at animating lol)
Image
Super shaky default combo. ^
Image
Happeh Halloween! ^ (Bonneh .stk made my PinkPivot)
Image
Methinks this is pretty good, considering this is the first time I've ever animated a gun. ^
Image
Old but gold in my eyes. (I think that was supposed to be Juke...hope I don't get banned)
Image
Messing around with one of the .pivs from Koolcid's thread (then I made a bump on it. -_-)^
Image
I get this isn't an animation, but it's a bunch of random beginners on TDD. You should all know who you are. (Except maybe FourAcross, he's right behind Elite44.

I did okay for my first run loop, right? ^

Looks fine. Pretty short to conjure up a decent cc.
Watch the foot that all of the weight is on. It's a little shaky and the toes wouldn't point down like that if one was putting pressure on it. The blur looks clean, but don't forget that blurs and effects alike don't substitute for actual fluidity.
Hope to see more from you.

Yeah, I guess his foot would have to be more flat on the ground in order for him to jump up like that. I only use the blur effect to add power and speed, my next anim will have minimal blur and better foot placement. Thanks for the CC! ;)

Something else to be mentioned,
when the purple figure jumps from the ground, his front foot shouldn't go backwards, unless he had superpowers and could fly,

then it's understandable...

Well, he does have superpowers.
But yeah, I see what you mean.

You have that blur effect down, no doubt - I don't know how you do that but it's cool

All you do is make the animation, then go back into the frames you want to blur, and duplicate a bunch of them (anywhere between 8-16 is okay) and put them about three pixels next to each other in the direction you want the blurred figure to go, and then set the transparency so it looks right. It sounds complicated, but it's simple once you get the hang of it.
