One thing I noticed right off the bat: the idle characters just stand there even after one of their comrades have died. Your Connor animation has the first guy taken down with absolutely no reaction from his companion. A sort of recoil or surprise backlash would help. Also, during the second segment of the Connor animation, the attacked figure simply limps down after being kicked and basically waits to be killed. The kick looked like it carried more force than it actually conveyed. Maybe having the attacked character stumble forwards or jerk suddenly at the impact, followed by a little bit of idle recovery before his death would convey a sense of just how powerful the strike is. That aside, this pretty darn great.
