Re: TheLegendV's Thread - Sword test!

I like that animation. You clearly planned what movements the stick was going to do before it made them, and I think it would have looked great if you took the time to fix the shakiness. Also I'd suggest maybe moving the back a bit more. It looks like it stops moving at one point where it should be easing out of the last movement and into the next. Also the front leg buckles a bit but you said you knew about the shakiness

Those first few steps were way to fat for the stick to just stop moving for the swing. Also the feet are a bit shakey. If you implemented a bit of flow into your animations, I think those would be some very good animations

the animation is very shaky, and work on your foot placement.

that, and make sure your moves and effects make sense man
at the middle, that speed blur effect was pretty random, and at the end the trail went out into the air instead of from the ground of which he was swinging from. the foot placement is still really shaky, and that first move didnt really need the 2 steps lol but whatever

i think your foot placement is very important to work on to. and don't use effects if u don't have to. keep it up (cheesygrin

What?

What?

You're making it sound like effects are a bad thing. They can be, but I wouldn't say that you shouldn't do it if you don't have to.

I'm actually going to say that sword trails are very much necessary during sword tests, because they change the spacing that you should use. They aren't just a supplement, but a huge part of how you need to animate a movement. If he, right now, removed the trails from that animation, it would be extremely difficult to interpret the movement because the spacing is so heavy.
