It was a nice first animation, don't get me wrong, but there were obviously mistakes. Here are some tips.
I'll try not to be too harsh. Firstly and clearly, you are barely even moving your stickfigures. You just move them as you see fit to the frame. You must also hint to actions done using anticipation. By this, I mean you should move the stickfigure to show he will do something. It would make someone have to watch an animation multiple times if they didn't notice something. Easing, one of the more important principles, is where you start a movement slow and gradually make it faster as it makes a move and when it's almost done, it slows down. Footing is also an issue but I think that's mainly because of what was stated in the first few lines. Don't rush your animations, they don't take 5 minutes to make. That's it. Hope I explained everything okay. I'd tell you a bunch of other stuff but I've probably confused you enough.
