This would have been finished if my computer didnt bug the crap out of pivot.. wa waaaa.

The reason you're bugging out is because pivot doesn't handle sprites well. If you're going to use sprites a lot, don't use pivot.

Is there anything exactly like pivot that uses sprites well?

if it was exactly like pivot, it wouldnt handle sprites well :^)
and no, not really. animating with sprites is better done in flash or smt
