Why did you get Pivot?

Just wondering, I was getting nostalgic a few minutes ago about how much I used to animate zombies and crap I really thought was good...
oh I miss those days.

So, what made you get pivot? Other pivoters? Curiosity?

Pretty sure it was Sticks On Crack by PMDX and some of Pivotkids vids that "inspired" me. Not entirely sure at what exact point I downloaded it, but around then. '06-'07

I've discovered stickpage and its animations on 2010-2011 and I liked them. So I tried to look for a way to make something like what I've been watching. There were 3 options: Flash, Pivot and easytoon. Flash wasn't free, EZT's layout didn't seem that appealing to me and Pivot was the best choice. Plus the fact that I was so keen on knowing how to make animations.

There was a flash game that let you animate a single stick figure and I thought it was cool.
I googled stick figure animator and found a way better program to entertain myself. There was no actual reason besides the usual feeling from putting your ideas and creativity into action. Animation can show a lot that a simple drawing can't, so it was a new experience.

My school had a project where we had to animate something in pivot. I found it fun, so when I got home I downloaded and started animating.

my brother downloaded it in 2009 and showed me an animation he'd made (we've still got it on the old computer) and i thought it was pretty neat so I made one which was considerably better not gonna lie. and then I made a video that went semi viral-ish, it got like 10,000 views but only because it was a video response to a tomska video lol, it was really shit so i later took it down. but yeah, some guy from a forum saw it (he said his name was "Stewie" or something?) and he told me how shizt i was, and to look at a new video by HBomb, one vs many. I was blown out the water, I watched all his videos. he had a link to darkdemon.org in the description of one of his videos or something, so i joined up.
