The most impossible thing to do in pivot

Postby Coweetie » Mon Oct 06, 2014 11:41 am

What is your number one (and two, and three maybe) of the most impossible thing to animate in pivot?

to me, it is waving grass.
The heavy mass of time and concentration when animating single blades of grass were too much though.
I tried way too much to get something decent done, even with "just" changing colors and else.

also, animating complex 3D-objects without reference/tracing. Up to 4 sides are ok, but then it is done to me.

I am curious where your limits in pivot are.

3D camera movements, like BG moves in 3D. That's the only thing I find really impossible to animate. I hate that.

To be honest I think I an do anything if I wanted to. I just hate putting effort into something so unimportant.

Wind seems pretty difficult to animate and account for. 3-D camera movements as well.
I can make mediocre-ish to halfway decent effects, but it's time consuming so it has the illusion of being arduous. So, I don't really make them.

Let's see... A 60 fps animation with my style of easing plus at least 6 shades of gradient. Now tell me that's ppssible. I dare you. But for me personally, I find the following impossible:
1. Making dynamic shading
2. A water splash and fluids in general
3. Making a photo realistic stickfigure moving without looking as lifeless as the infamous "peter sprite".
4. Dynamic smoke
5. Fucking acrobatics BGHLARGVJOHVUBJB
6. Animating animals.

Running, no joke. I can't animate someone running for shit. I can do complex 3-D, but I can't make a run.
