Re: LordPivot's Factory - Fletcher-class Destroyer

Decided to make a stk figure this time, of the Fletcher-class Destroyer
Stk file. The Fletcher class destroyers were used during WW2 with 175 being commissioned. It had a top speed of 38 knots and and an armament of five 5" guns along with 10 21" torpedoes. They were used almost exclusively in the Pacific theatre of war, sinking 29 Japanese submarines. 3 remain in museums in the US and 1 in Greece. Enjoy. ;)

Re: LordPivot's Factory - Iowa-class Battleship (Missouri)

Postby Lord » Sun Jul 26, 2015 5:26 am

The Iowa-class battleships were a class of fast battleships ordered by the United States Navy in 1939 and 1940 to escort the Fast Carrier Task Forces that would operate in the Pacific Theater of World War II. Four were completed; two more were laid down but canceled at war's end and scrapped. Between the mid-1940s and the early 1990s, the Iowa-class battleships fought in four major U.S. wars. In World War II, they defended aircraft carriers and shelled Japanese positions. During the Korean War, the battleships provided seaborne artillery support for United Nations forces fighting North Korea, and in 1968, New Jersey shelled Viet Cong and Vietnam People's Army forces in the Vietnam War. All four were reactivated and armed with missiles during the 1980s as part of the 600-ship Navy initiative; during Operation Desert Storm in 1991, Missouri and Wisconsin fired missiles and 16-inch (406 mm) guns at Iraqi targets. Ultimately, all four ships were stricken from the Naval Vessel Register and released for donation to non-profit organizations. With the transfer of Iowa in 2012, all four are part of various non-profit maritime museums across the U.S. Enjoy. ;)

Haven't checked this thread in a while... That is quite an army you've made there :D
I actually got a request for ya(tho idk if it is doable, you tell me if it isn't), Can you make an Airship like S.H.I.E.L.D. uses in Captain america winter soldier movie?(but like for pivot lol), I think it is also in that facebook game too(forgot the name). If you can't then could you make something similiar to that? Something that is capable of holding like 10-12 airplanes on it.

I thought I made something like that in the past. I'll root around for it, if I can't find it then I'll make another. Sprite or stk?

Also I've another ship coming up soon.

Re: LordPivot's Factory - Arleigh Burke class Destroyer (piv

Postby Lord » Wed Aug 19, 2015 1:45 pm

Wanted to get this out there, felt like remaking it;

Arleigh Burke (piv)
Remember this one? The Arleigh Burke destroyers was concieved in the 1980's as a multi-role destroyer. 62 have already been built (each equipped to different specifications) and a further 42 more are planned. the class has the longest production run for any post-World War II U.S. Navy ship. Have fun with it. ;)

For my next build I'll either do this helicarrier, the supercarrier Nimitz or perhaps the North Carolina battleship of WW2.

I think stk would be better(since close-up's), but better you decide, since you'll be the one making it..

Re: LordPivot's Factory - HMS Dreadnought

Postby Lord » Fri Aug 28, 2015 10:38 am

The image came out in bad quality for some reason, but here's a reaaaalllly old one for you;
[spoiler]It was technically the first battleship to ever be made, though back then it was called a dreadnought. It rendered nearly every ship made before it obsolete. It was the first ship to be armed only with 12in guns and a speed of 21 knots. It was sent to reserve in 1919 and scrapped two years later.

i would love them to be more detailled a well made, like WHAT IS DIS Image WHAT IS DIS TOO Image, let me help you, when you make something like a ship or a car, try using a smaller segment size, those help making it look more like a ship and less like a play doh replica. only use this size if you are making cloths or something organic.

Re: LordPivot's Factory - Lé Eithne

Postby Lord » Tue Sep 01, 2015 3:00 am

Irish navys flagship;

Lé Eithne
Flagship of the Irish navy, this ship was commissioned in 1984, and the last ship to be made in an Irish dockyard. It was built to act as a long range fisheries patrol vessel, intended to be at sea for up to 30 days. It was originally planned to order four vessels of this class, but budget restrictions prevented this. It is armed with a Bofors 57 mm gun, and various smaller arms fire.
It took part in migrant rescues in the Mediterranean during the Summer of 2015.
