How do you use Pivot?

Postby Lord » Thu Nov 06, 2014 12:44 pm

This question may seem very obvious, but I think I may be using pivot the hard way, whilst it may be easier to use it to get better results.

I use a computer, with a mouse and the keyboard when animating. Is there other ways of animating that I haven't known about? I know people use their ipad or tablet to animate and that looks a lot easier than using the mouse.
Any advice here?

idk I use it the same as everyone I guess.... Mouse, Keyboard, Some Music and maybe some coffee with cigarette. I didn't know that you could use pivot with tablet though, but that is irevelant to me because I don't like those things... same applies to android phones and other touch screen devices. I prefer it the classic way. That way it is more enjoyable. Well for me at least.

Are you listening to muisc while animating? wtf.

I just open Pivot, mouse+keyboard, Flash to some complex effects, and Chaos Crystal.

I heard it was quite common to listen to music while animating, but to all their own.

I'm pretty sure everyone uses a mouse+keyboard. Don't know if there's an easier way.

Alright, must have been Flash that I got confused with, I know that you can definetly animate Flash on an Ipad. Thanks.

Laptop.
USB mouse.
Fuck the keyboard shortcuts.
Music.
Maybe something to drink or snack on.
The laptop sensor pad really helps to make precise and accurate movements in Pivot, so that too.

I just use a mouse and keyboard, but I'm honestly not a fine example. The last few times I've used Pivot I was high and laying in bed. Pretty sure I wasn't even using a mousepad.

TFW When you don't use a mouse.

Honestly I prefer not to use a mouse and keyboard.... I feel like I have more control of the points with my laptop.

This. I've always used a trackpad and I always will, a mouse moves the nodes too far too quickly for my liking.
