Competition

So I have had this idea for a long while now but never usually get a direct answer (Or no answer at all)

And basically to explain the idea out more, this is what it is.

I think that there should be some very well known and experienced animator(s) that hold a competition. This competition would be between every animator within a rank who will participate. The theme the animations will be animated in would be chosen by the animator(s) that hosts the competition. And whichever animator(s) in that rank that the host chooses gets to be mentored. If there were multiple hosts than they could each choose their own to mentor. (This'd go on for every rank excluding Expert or even Veteran depending on who the hosts are.)

This is just an idea I had because of the sort of lack in animation activity and because I think since the more experienced animators are older and leaving pivot soon they should pass on their knowledge.

I know this might never become a possibility but eh, keep hope alive.

Atok has done the same thing. Not exactly, but very similar. After he got his winners from each rank, he mentored each one for a couple of days and left them out. It can be benefetical if the mentors are willing to be commited enough.

Well not necessarily, Taizen was the one who was the most benefited. He got intermediates after the competition. But you are right when it comes to the other two winners.
