The King of Combos (Vote in the Poll)

Postby OblivionFall » Thu Jan 22, 2015 6:48 am

Who is the King of Combos? Back in my day, it was Lithium. Nobody could pull of consecutive hits like he could. That said, I haven't been around in a while. Does Lithium still hold up today as the King of Combos?

We don't really have one now. If I'd have to elect one I'd say Senzo though.

Senzo used to be the king of combos before he quit. Then again, there was Firecracker as well who also happened to quit.

And why do you assume Senzo quit?

I agree about Nutcracker being the King of Combos, he might not be an active animator anymore, but he definitely had his fair share of combo's when he was.

Combos are hard, and take a long time to do,
I'd do combos more if I didn't get impatient after the first 4 hits.

Who on earth is this Firecracker and Senzo guys?

I'm the real king, I impacted DD's animation sections in ways these two guys never could of.

I'll PW these guys anyday, anytime, anywhere. This is insulting.

If Senzo put any effort into it, you wouldn't stand a chance.

Agreed. If you remove the backgrounds / effects from Senzo's animation it pales in comparison (Remember that this thread is about combos specifically). The movements are slow and sluggish, and many of his hits lack power. Which is a shame because the animation had a lot of promise from it's beginning scenes.

His spacing is one dimensional, dull, ridiculously boring for a fight scene and the figures are allowing themsleves to get beat the fuck up.

If this was a combo on combo animator contest, with judging clearly based on how well paced and well animated punch and kick combos are, Senzo would give very little to no trouble in that area.
