Waffles Mgee wrote:WIth sprites, the origin point and the red dot are at the bottom corners of them. If you're wanting to add attachments, then I'm not sure how you would work around that, UNLESS you actually draw the weapons with attachments on them. If you do this then you'd probably draw a sprite per attachment possibility. You'd have a sprite with a gun and flashlight, and gun and suppressor, and gun with flashlight and suppressor, and gun with scope, and gun with flashlight and scope, and suppressor and scope, and so on and so forth.

I'll explain, there's a .STK file in -almost- every sprite pack called -gunname- Attachments.stk, it attaches to the red rotating handle on the gun. It has -unmoving- points where you merge the magazine, attachments etc. on it, kinda like your Mix n' Match, but easier to figure out.

And Luna, amazing sprite as always, did a spittake when I saw the nade. Can't wait for attachments. Maybe do a Tactical Tomahawk?

Easier to figure out? Mate, my mix'n'match was made with the express purpose of being easy to figure out. Sprite points are all miles away from the sprite itself, whereas sticks have it in them.

The only problem with yours is that you can't select most of the parts after you connect them, and you actually have to do all the connecting the gun. Luna's system works as so:

Luna, if Wikipedia didn't lie to me, the M67 safety lever can be held to prevent detonation in hand, right? I don't want to inaccurately use the nade in my anim.

And Waffles Mcgee, dat iz su sweg i iz su sory fur hurtig ur felingz wth ur cul nerf guhn, lole

To be fair everything looks better with the design of this site.

Heh. I could reskin the weapons to be like nerf guns if people wanted.

Yes; after the pin is pulled, holding the lever will still prevent the grenade from exploding.

Thanks. I haven't put much thought into making a shield. I'll have to think about how to do it.

Again I'm not interested in making a tutorial. You'll just have to practice making sprites or ask someone else.
Made the ASP pistol. Weapon probably isn't 100% accurate because it seems to be somewhat a more obscure weapon so there wasn't as much information or reference images I could have used compared to most weapons I work on. There is no option for barrel attachments for this weapon.

Gary I hope the product is satisfactory and that the weapon will be useful for your projects (or at least pretty enough).

Is the top secret project in progress? I hope it is, I've already got the scene for it planned.

I plan to work on attachments next. Though if it turns it's going to require a considerable amount of time, I could delay the attachments to work on your request if you're in a rush to use it. We'll see how things go.

No, do the attachments first, b/c if you do the seeecret project first, it'll have to either be ironsights until sniper scopes are made or be a sprite with a scope preattached.

Very well.

So I will focus on improving the implementation of attachments on weapons that already have picatinny rails built into them as well as making additional attachments for the next update. This is what I plan to finish by the next update:

Implement attachments.stk for the following weapons:
✓AK-47
✓AK-74
✓AKS-74U
✓G36c
✓Galil
✓M16A2
✓QBZ-95
✓Skorpion EVO III

Improve attachments.stk for the following weapons:
✓ACR
✓AK-20
✓MP7
✓P90 TR
✓SCAR-H
✓XM45C
✓XM8

Create the following attachments:
□ ACOG Scope (Future updated)
✓Angled Grip
✓EOTech Sight
□ Muzzle Brake (Future updated)
□ Reflex Sight (Future updated)
□ Additional Suppressor(s) (Future updated)
✓Vertical Grip

For weapons that don't have built-in picatinny rails (such as the AK-47), I will work on attachable picatinny rails in future updates. Side picatinny rail attachments will be done in future updates as well (such as flashlights and laser sights).

Edit: Progress report.

15 April 2014 patch. The following weapons either had an attachments system implemented or improved; if you plan on using attachments in the future, these updated sprite packs are much more optimized for them than their previous version. Some new attachments are also released.
