Consistency

Postby Swaikha » Wed Apr 30, 2014 8:36 pm

Post and answer these questions.

How often do you animate?

I never have time because school and other hobbies.

But I'm trying to start animating more everyday.
Whether it's a short animation, or just little tiny idle .gifs like this.

What keeps you motivated?

Posting new animations and getting comments and feedback from people here motivate me to get better,
which motivates me to keep animating.

-I animate everytime I find the chance to, could be once a day, once a week... It depends.
-What keeps me motivated is that people actualy like what I'm doing, and also seeing an animation as it progresses smoothly gives me the urge to add more to it. Sometimes it's boredom, but all I make then is Extra's-like animations. I may post one of them sometime if it reaches an acceptable lenght. Moreover, it makes me forget about the miserable moments in my life and makes it bright in a way or another. And sometimes, direct compliments from Skype. ALSO, now that I found out that I have some fans out there, I became more motivated to animate. And on tope of all of that, I love what I'm doing.

How often I animate: Whenever I feel like it, but most of the time I'm too unmotivated and unproductive to want to. Maybe once or twice a week.
Motivation: Sometimes I want to entertain people, I like to see other people happy, and appreciating the work. Sometimes I have a sudden hit of inspiration. And sometimes I'm just bored, and I move dots.

How often I animate: Sometimes I go months without it, but when I decide to open Pivot or Flash it has me going at least 5 days of the week for all my free time.
What keep me motivated: I have so many ideas for animations and I want to keep improving. If I could animate at the rate at which I get ideas for fun new animations I'd probably post at least 3 animations that are like wockingbird per day.

Maybe once every two or so months.

Originally progression motivated me, nowadays it's really just about making cool scenes and ideas that pop into my head come to life but since I'm not motivated enough to animate regularly I really lack the skill, time and patience to make it happen so I usually give up 5-10 frames in.

Normally I animate every day for a few hours. Lately though, I've been a bit burnt out and combine that with how busy I am at university and life throwing obstacles in my way and I just don't feel like it. What motivates me is that I want to do it professionally and also inspire people. I also still enjoy it A LOT in how fulfilling it is. It's one of the only things that makes life worth living for me... And sure enough, lately I've been feeling pretty down. So I just feel right when I animate, so I'll get back into it when I'm well rested and got my life sorted out somewhat.
