An Animator's Potential

Postby kellawgs » Sat May 03, 2014 11:19 pm

Let's talk about some fellas that without a doubt have the capacity to do more than just some good shit, we're talking really fucking sweet animations- yet they never have. I'll start:

For one I would like to start with Slushie. Now, he's definitely made some really badass animations, but as of late he just hasn't applied himself to what he could really be capable of. I saw some screenshots of a fullbody animation he was working on awhile back but nothing seems to have came of it. Next, without a doubt Nice Pants. Talk about a guy with potential, I mean fuck he's such a perfectionist and it really shows. It's really a shame his 'Two Angry Men' animation went to shit, because he could have done a lot with it. So much style in his animations, that goes for Slushie too. There are plenty more but that's all I could think of off the top of my head, all the other animators seem to animate as good as they know they can, or suck dick.

- Kody obviously. Guy is Elite yet i've just always had this feeling that he hasn't ever shown what he can really do.
- Behemoth could be Sharpshooter 2.0, the style is there.
- You
- I like to think I havent reached my peak yet (confused

I personally believe that anyone can, just nearly nobody will. I know personally that I could be able to do some crazy shit with pivot. Now will I ever? Hell no.

Iunno, I kinda get the feeling that some animators don't have the capacity to ever be as good as some others just based on how they naturally perceive things like let it whip.

I thought Slushie quit? Wasn't he in the HoF on A.net? I wish he would of finished "Slushie Mission 5" or whatever it's called, that looked like it would of turned out amazing.

In terms of potential, I think Behemoth could do more, so could Marv, Reap, and DD15x, even Row has a lot of potential.

I feel like we've seen the peak already. Olix, Gifgiff, MCToast and Oblivionfall already showed the top potential of what you can do with your canvas in Pivot. Each in their own way, of course, but I don't think there'll be anything amazing past that point anytime soon.

MicH - for one his effects are beautiful, his movements are nothing shy of nice, and he probably could animate something even more amazing than the rest of his animations.

Kody - Couldn't agree more with Mitch.

Lukas - Guy could be vets right now if he truly wanted to.

Lush - Blademaster Jr. Rez has always amazed me.

Mitch - C'mon, from the old days even you we're a badass.

Marv - If he ever get's a great idea again, we're in for a show.

Phazon - 3D perspective god, just needs to make more animations.

I don't see why it's a big deal, you see retarded videos go up on the spot light on YouTube from people stealing one another's content or spending too much time making it with something else all the time lol
