Oh you.

To be completely honest, I really only care that I enjoy the taste of meat. I don't really put any other thought into what the process is for getting the meat, and frankly I really don't care.

I honestly don't see why we would care that much. They show extreme cases to get you to form a quick opinion and before you've actually thought about it enough you'll find yourself debating about it with others.

Don't let anyone play into your feelings like this, I became horribly stupid at the KONY2012 thing and I just cringe at anything I debated back then. Fucking, eat all the meat you want, don't let them go through all this shit only to rot away at walmart.

Okay so since you won't believe me, I'll break the first couple minutes down for you so you will shut your ignorant twat.

Chickens and turkeys:
First minute. Dutch farms. Already been forbidden in 2012 in the Netherlands and ever since no longer the case in any legal farms.
Second minute. I have never seen more obviously staged scenes. They wouldn't allow this to be captured on camera or it would bankrupt their farm, they're not stupid. Also in that one clip I can obviously see dead chickens and turkeys, then they move on to another clip from another time with other chickens.
Third minute. "Throat slit while still conscious". Being a village boy, I happen to know this is the way to kill a chicken so it doesn't feel pain. It will spazz out because of the high amount of signals their brain gives to the body, but that would happen in whichever way you kill a chicken unless you break its bones. "Many are scolded alive in the feather remover tanks". Farmers used to do this by hand before they killed them, only difference being that it's now mechanized.

Egg laying clips:
German clips. Fixed a long while back because it looked shocking to some people, causing less effective sales on eggs and chicken. Can you not see the constant change of camera quality? Also those aren't hens, they're roosters. They often get their beaks cut when held captive in any condition and it's painless due to the low amount of nerves in the beak. The reason they cut the beaks is because roosters want to settle dominance through rough pecking battles, often leading to one another's death. For this reason, effective rooster farming requires either heavy surveillance or cut beaks. It's nothing special.

3:05. More dutch clips, also already fixed.

I'll stop here, if you want me to explain other things, ask away or use google. For all I care this is veggie propaganda.

'Lets show the worst clips we can find of the worst killings in the worst places, put it in a video to make people think that all farms are bad.'
Not every place that animals are kept are horrible conditions, and not every animal is killed slowly and painfully. I like that I didn't have to even watch the video to know what this is all about.

Along with this, PETA isn't all about 'lets save the animals'. They care about profit, so they make videos like this to have people donate towards their foundation. All this goes on while they allow stray animals to slowly die if they are not picked at the pound. ( http://nypost.com/2012/03/05/first-lets ... e-animals/ , http://www.petakillsanimals.com/proof-p ... #petakills )

Personally, I couldn't really care about where my meat comes from. I'm also not going to change my mind because some organization made a mountain out of a molehill.
