I cannot install it, it keeps popping up as a "threat" in my anti-virus.

It always takes a while for a new download to be registered as safe by anti-virus software. Many of them flag anything that they don't recognise. Try disabling it.

Just downloaded it, McAfee detected a trojan or something and quarantined it. I don't know if that's legit or not.
But thanks for v4.2 :D

Just to make sure. Are you aware that some bugs from older versions might exist in this version?
Anyway, same as others, avira was being as annoying as ever. But when I disabled it and installed Pivot, for whatever reason, I can't control my desktop's interface anymore(where you can see your wallpaper) and the icons in there don't exist anymore. But i think that must be my computer's problem, not the software itself. As for the features, so far, the only thing I got to try is the copy-paste features. And let me tell you how amazed I am right now: Not only it copies the multi-colored figures' details, it also pastes it at the same location where it was in the original .piv. This version can open some room for more skills to learn. And it will also let me get some stuff down a lot faster. I didn't try all of the features yet, so once I do, I'll let you know if there's anything wrong. But otherwise, amazing job right there!

Wow nice, now let's put all the bugs or anomalies we can find :D
Kudos for the One pixel movement with handle, THIS will definitely helps everyone to fight shakyness.

Crash :
No crash so far, so that's good.

Anomaly (warning, heavy gifs ahead) :
Using Alt+Z on jointed figures

Spoiler:
Image
Not working ? Get the gif here.
The thing is that we can save the frame in an unstable state.
Maybe we can automatically update the jointed figure, but if doing so, when i'm moving a part inside the chain, the update of the figure at the origin would change the position of the jointed part where i have the mouse on, and this would create a flickering result.

Solution : update the jointed figures once when mouse button is released.

Using Alt+X on jointed figures without selecting the Origin of the joint.

Spoiler:
Image
Not working ? Get the gif here.
So this time, the jointed figure updates everytime when we use Alt+X, and that is the result. Good thing Alt+Z doesn't update as this does ^^
After that, i'm using Alt, and the figure shrinks quickly towards Zero size.

More torture with Alt+X
Spoiler:
Image
Image not working ? Get the gif here. (yes i know, mediafire isn't useful for reading gifs -_-)
I got a little slowdown on my laptop while doing this, with 8 figures. I can imagine the guy who want to push harder with more figures

The figures can be stuck forever in the center (but ctrl+Z saves the day) or be altered around the center

And by the way ....

DONE Store custom colour selector colours in ini file.

What do we have to write in the .ini file ?

I have Webroot installed on my computer and it won't let me download your file. It's saying that you have a couple of threats on it. I tried saying download anyway, but
Spoiler:

I got this message, and proceeding to download anyway-

I then got this and the download was canceled altogether.

Thanks. Yes, come to think of it Alt+Z and Alt+X shouldn't work on joined figures at all, because it would move them into unjoined positions until you next move them. I will think of a way to disable it for joined figures.

You don't have to write anything in the ini file manually. The custom colours in the colour picker should just stay there after closing and reopening Pivot.

Sorry that there are problems with anti-virus software. This is common with new installers. I've informed the installer company and hopefully they will begin contacting the anti-virus companies to inform them of the false alarm. Many anti-virus software will flag anything they've not seen before.

Feel free to use Alt+Z and Alt+X, but just remember that you may get unexpected behaviour for joined figures.

edit: paste figures button doesn't grey out when you play the animation man, press it while the animation is playing and stuff happens that probably shouldn't.
