I was making a Pivot fullbody figure today, which I spent the majority if my free time on. I got too caught up in finishing it quick, so I neglected saving it at all since yesterday, which was when I first started making it. My laptop completely froze up a couple minutes ago and so I had to reboot it, erasing my progress thus far and pitching me back to square one.

Happened to me quite a few times. I hate when that happens so now I just save every time I make a single stick.

Yeah, this is something that everyone that works on computers will tell you, saving every 20 or so minutes is barely any effort and you'll love yourself if something goes wrong and you only lost about 5 minutes of work, rather than 4 hours. I'm not sure if Pivot has the Ctrl + S saving hotkey, but if it does, just slam those buttons every now and then.

It does. It's nice to have the reflex to hit those keys when you make a little pause.

But one time, I lost frames by downloading an animation in its previous version, since i edited it in its newest version and messed up pretty badly (and hitting Ctrl+S like a dummy), the file got overwritten in its older state without asking.

Sleeping longer than planned.
Having those days when I'm generally tired, prone to fall asleep throughout the day except for the actual time I'm supposed to sleep.
