he is not like "racism is p cool but sometimes bad ok", the only thing he's trying to bring across is that there are certain situation where 'racism', which i think is a bad term for it, can be used to help said race or w/e

The fact that he chooses to only mention the positives regarding racism and leaving out the much more significant negatives makes me want to call him out on it though.

I hate it when people ask for a joint but never actually take part or just quit half way in. (I have been guilty of this a few times.)
I also hate it when in rowing people try to do everything by themselves and end up ruining the race for everyone else in the boat with them.

In my opinion Racism isn't distinguishing someone or subjecting someone because of their race.
In my eyes, Racism is lowering or raising peoples rights due to their race, and just overall discrimination because of their race.
Like I'm Irish and I'm pale, somebody else is black and African, The African would be able to withstand sunnier weather because of his skin, I wouldn't. So he could be asked to do something that involved staying in the sun longer than me, in my opinion this wouldn't be an act of racism, this would just be an act of logic, not inequality. However if he was forced to then it's a different situation.
Basically my point here mean I only ever see Racism as something negative or unequal because of a person's race.
So I don't understand how racism can be seen in any positive way.

I suppose it could push a group to thrive and become stronger, innovative, etc. But, you could also argue if it didn't exist at all, they wouldn't need to be pushed.

Just to be clear, I wasn't implying racism and rape are or are not on the same level of severity. It was just an example of something the majority or all find despicable.

On topic, I can't stand it when people are walking just barely slower than the rest of traffic, so you can't pass them without looking like a complete speedy goon.

It's not that i feel pure hatred on someone who sneeze that way... instead, i feel extremely nervous.
In fact, I endured sleepless nights in my early years because of my lil bro who often fell ill (and coughed and sneezed oh my god) thus making me hypersensivitive about this.

Well no, but you reacted on a statement that I made, not towards you, as if it were directed to you.

It's like calling person A an idiot and person B responding that they're not an idiot. When you say you meant that person A was an idiot, person B responds by saying that he was just giving his opinion that he wasn't an idiot. You see my point?

Also before my words get twisted around again and whatnot, I'm not actually calling anyone an idiot. It's an example to make my point more clear, which seems to not do well in this thread, because they're not the exact same situation.

Something that fucks up my day is my gf's obsessive ex. I don't really care for him, but we've been dating for a year, and whenever he says the Pledge of Allegiance, instead of saying one nation under God, he says one nation under Kaila (gf's name).
