Pet general chat thread?

I've never seen a thread like this and I was bored so here it is.

What pets do you guys own? What pets would you like to have in the future? Any questions about animals or other peoples pets go ahead and ask. Share pet related funny stories, horror stories, pet peeves, etc.



I have a few snakes, a dog, cat and some other stuff. Here's a couple pictures, not much.

I have a spider that chills in my car. I see him occasionally. I named him Billy, and we cool. He does his thing and I do mine.

I've got a 2 year old cat, we have a another cat that's about a year old, but we can't know for certain because she was a stray. But she went missing about 2-3 weeks ago, hope she comes back, you never know. :/

Sorry to hear that Mctoast, I used to have a bunny like ten years ago. It was chill from what I remember. Also thanks, its a Tokay gecko, they can be assholes sometimes.

That's the sad reality of outdoor cats. Never know whats going to happen to them. Hope she shows up, there used to be this stray that hung around my house for a while then I didn't see it for a few months and figured it died to only have it show up again looking fine but kinda skinny.

Really want a dog, or at least a friendly cat. I plan on getting a dog once I'm in college or done with college, but do you guys have recommendations for breeds to consider?

My cat Jopie is pretty boss. He begs for cheese too much though.

Depends on your preferences really. Best bet is to go to a shelter and ask around and check out all the dogs and try to find one that clicks with you while you're there. My dog is a random mutt from a shelter(the one I posted a pic of) and he's an amazing dog.

Lol I had a cat that used to always want cheese, pretty sure its unhealthy for them though so I didn't usually give him any. He also had an obsession with French fries and would sometimes sneak up behind me grab a fry and run away with it.

Don't get the dog while you're in college, it's really dangerous for the dog, very easy for it to escape.

If you're experienced with training dogs, get a Belgian Malinois. I've had four or so over the years and they're great - friendly, good with kids, smart, funny. They're like German Shepherds but a little smaller but much smarter and faster, they make great work/guard dogs but because of this they're a little hard to control unless you're good at training dogs.

I used to give my cat quite a bit of cheese, but he started begging too much for it, so now I basically ignore him and give him a really small piece when stops.

Mr Cat's gotta learn in somehow.

I've got a 3-year-old husky named Snowy and a 5-year-old German shepherd-corgi mix named Fizzle. Surprisingly, Snowy is afraid of Fizzle while also being 5 times bigger.
