Other Animating Programs

Postby ZucchiniJuice » Thu May 08, 2014 10:49 pm

Im kinda pursueing animating as a career, and I want to get good at other styles of animating.
Im buying a animation tablet. (Wacom Intuos Manga/Pen & Touch)

Anyone got an animation program as good or almost as good as flash?
That is free please.

Animating Programs I Have:
AutoDesk Maya
Pencil
EasyToon
Stykes

Honestly, I suck at any percise-detail cnc. I can do big picture ones cnc pretty good tho.

Lol, I got the student version.

Maya is hard as fuck. Mainly just the footplacement.
Its so hard to put the feet in the correct position.

Im still training myself to use maya tho.

Student Versions by Auto-desk are free

If you want something as good as Flash, then I can only recommend Pencil, never used it myself, haven't seen much made from it either, also try TV Paint, it's pretty neato if you ask me

The only program that really comes close to Flash as far as I know is Pencil.

I didn't know paper was an animating program and a pencil a piece of software... Well, the more I know.

I am actually going to use this thread if I ever want to try out different things. (thumbsup

ToonBoom is better than Flash if you can get that. You need to fill forms out and if you're a student you can get that at a reasonable price. I know you don't want to spend much but sometimes you have to spend a little. I wish you the best.

Toonboom and Flash are made for very different purposes
Toonboom = Traditional animation
Adobe Flash = Puppet Work animation
