How film effects used to be made

this is pretty damn cool.

I hate how things can be done easy these days, I respect the hard way a lot more, even if it might not be visible. Also when it's visible, it's a lot cooler to see stop motion or whatever rather than CGI (in my opinion)

With these big advances in technology now-a-days we can improve CGI effects and Practical Effects. I wish more film makers would use Practical Effects over the CGI but I know in some situations that's not possible, just look back to Jurassic Park for a perfect example of that.
