NNB Repeat is indeed really great. Check out Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, either the two anime OVAs or the manga.

from what i know one punch man landed a lot of good animators on the show by means of networking. i don't think they're getting paid any more or any less but they're just having fun given the budget/time constraints they have

honestly we should be glad it even came out this good, and i find it hard to believe that any anime production would ever be "high budget." these niccas out here just working hard as shit and i respect that

I really don't watch much anime, I wouldn't call myself an enthusiast, but I watch an episode every now and then. I recently finished the first series of K-On, liked it a lot, and I'm going to start the second.
I also started Mekakucity Actors and it's good so far.

Keep going jack - if you like K-On!, there's a whole world out there of similar anime that you should love. You should consider making a myanimelist.net account, to keep track and get recommendations. Otherwise, just ask in here obviously.

It's a spinoff, spinoffs can do what they want.

I'm starting to watch Sketchbook, and goddamn it's good. This is everything Hidamari Sketch should have been, but way way way better. Fuck Shaft so much.

I started that, it looked like it was comfy, but haven't watched it in a while because it seemed like it might become..."un-comfy".

I'd guess you're implying that you're guessing that the yuri will become more explicit and to you that would seem un-comfy. But it doesn't. The anime is very consistent in that regard. Wouldn't call it "comfy" at any point though, except that one silent sequence of scenes with the student council president in season 3. The series is too focused on funny gags and high tempo over-the-top-ness to be comfy in my opinion. Not saying that as a bad thing though.

Yeah, Strider you kinda described how I feel. Maybe I'll pick that up again at some point.
