Am I one of the only people who have known about this for months? Most of you seem surprised.
I heard in the comments of one of his videos months back that he wasn't making pivot animations anymore, so, yeah.

This is different to just moving on from Pivot. I think a lot of people would be keen to see what he can make with Flash. Instead we got this, which is why people are annoyed.

The least he could do is:
1. Release the Pivot animations he'd promise he'd release last year.
2. Not abandon the entire fan-base he used to have.
3. Actually animate a few original things apart from My Little Pony.

Regarding my last point, I wouldn't even have so much of a problem if he didn't put 100% of his talent into My Little Pony. The fact that he is and his new "fans" don't even appreciate the talent he has saddens me greatly. I'm not going to get too upset over it though, because he clearly doesn't care about us. He can do whatever makes him happy.

Well, this is certainly disappointing.

To be fair, I don't feel any hate towards Christian for this whatsoever, it's been obvious for quite some time that he was going to center all around ponies and left Pivot for what it was. I mean, did anyone even see his Facebook stati?
It's still quite sad that he chose this rather unfortunate path, but I think the guy should whatever floats his boat and if that involves animating ponies, which he does very well, then so be it.

Really it's just as bad as any other fandom like Anime and Video Games.

1) He has no obligation to do this.
2) He is under no obligation to continue supporting his 'fan base'.
3) He can animate whatever the fuck he wants.

All in all, just because he had fans does not mean he can't animate whatever he wants. I hate MLP and the entire mentality and fandom surrounding it. At the end of the day though, the animation was fuckin brilliant and I'm sure he'll do other things.

If not, oh well.

The animation quality itself was great. My only problem is that for us, we can't exactly appreciate his talent as much as we could anymore. The worst thing an animator can do is animate MLP for a career in my opinion. Best of luck for him if this is what he really wants to do.

I used to quite fond of the show, though I haven't watched it for quite a long time.

I definitely wouldn't classify myself as a brony though, definitely not as the type the fandom is known for.
