Removing Certain Sounds From Audio?

Postby Llama » Wed Apr 29, 2015 10:18 pm

There's a certain piece of music I'd like to use, but it's mixed with other audio like dialogue, wind sounds, etc, and there's no standalone version of it that I can find. I'm trying to edit out the unnecessary audio with AVS Audio Editor, but it's proving to be challenging considering the fact I have absolutely no experience whatsoever in sound editing other than cropping sound segments in Windows Movie Maker.

What can I do to properly filter and sift out the sound that I want? What program(s) should I use if AVS is unsatisfactory and what steps should I take?

Currently trying reverse phasing in Audacity, if that's what you meant.

I just though Audacity can be used as I thought I seen something one time saying what Audacity can do. (I got it recently but still have no idea what it does)
