Damnit Valtus, why must you be so good at everything?

"Autumn Colours" and "Hakumen from Blazblue" really stick out to me. Especially Autumn Colours. I really really like that one.

Oh and the owl one. I can't imagine how hard it must be to get each specific shade of colour on it's feathers just right. Did you use a reference for it?

Thanks. "Autumn Colours" was actually done today, so it's the most recent one. I really liked doing it and tricking out with 4 colours.

And I only used a reference to draw the head of the owl. The rest is just trying out, which is why the head looks great compared to the body.

Holy shit Valtus, you're great at this. I absolutely love Autumn girl, but these are all incredibly rad. The pants on Hakumen are drawn especially well for some reason, keep it up like that!

Is Autumn Colours inspired by Nujabes' song 'Color of Autumn?' Because I think of that song when I see the picture

you*re quite good with textures, details, light and proportions, did you have references?
the owl's feathers are amazing (razz and also the shadowing with lines. I love that way of drawing.
would you maybe think about coloring your work on pc and uploading that in better quality?
I think you got some little treasures there. (thumbsup

Really great work here. I do think you need to work a bit on lighter shading. Some things look a little flat that could easily be fixed with a few dots from a pen or just light strokes of pencil. It's pretty awesome though, you should make talenthouse if you want more recognition. I also went ahead and liked your page, looking forward to new work!

wai wai wai wait. I've noticed some of these as WIPs on Facebook. And I think I've commented on some of them. Man, I want to reach your art level someday. And your things look so clean even at their early stages.

Thanks. :) I don't use reference that much. Only if there is a character that has some important details. (For example Hakumen and Artorias)
I've been thinking of redoing some pieces on computer, but never really started.

Thanks, man. Yeah, I need to practise making light strokes with pencil. Or I should just start using 0.1 or 0.3 pen instead of 0.05 pen.
And I took your advice and made one! >Talenthouse account here<

Yeah, if you generally use a bit of a bigger pen for some strokes you might be able to dot with the light pen you're using now. Be careful not to choke on the thicker lines though. I also followed you on talenthouse and loved all your stuff to get you going a little bit and because I'm interested in your future stuff. Keep at it!

I don't believe you, if that was true you'd definitely have an art thread.
