18+ NSFW; Nude Drawing Session Artwork

Postby Halsey » Fri Feb 12, 2016 4:04 am

I attend a nude drawing session every other week. I've done this for the past couple years while attending university.

I'll update this thread every 2 weeks (starting next Thursday) with some artwork that I particularly like or which I have a picture of from the nude drawing sessions.. I don't expect comments or praise, I just would like to share and maybe you guys can get some motivation from it or maybe I'll get some motivation from it.

This will be the first entry, a drawing I did over a year ago during one of my first sessions.

I can't imagine the overall mood of these nude drawing sessions haha. It sounds kind of cool though. I'm interested in seeing how much you improve as you make more. :)

i think this is why we do really need some sort of password in a thread so that only the selected people can click,
just adding that 18+ or NSFW or even Nude us younger people will click it anyway because we are rebels like that.
ive already learned the body parts in grade 4 so ye im not one of those who make sex jokes like immature 12 year olds.

Nicely anatomically inaccurate, I like it.

This is a forum full of nasty teenagers.

Thanks I appreciate the support! That's what I'm hoping for is some noticeable improvement over the course of the next few months. Thanks Ray.

Haha thanks Toast.

If anyone does have a better way for us to have threads like this I'm all ears.

For now I'm going to just not post any drawings that are too "graphic" in nature.

nude drawings should be fine idk why it's such an issue

taking life drawing classes is a really good way to improve and learn to draw so mad props to you
the one thing i'd say tho, and forgive me if i don't make any sense, but it feels like you're trying to capture the contours of the model moreso than the gesture, and as a result the pose looks kinda stuff and anatomically incorrect in places

the idea of life drawing classes and photo studies (from my experience) is to capture the motion and emotion behind a pose in as few lines as necessary
ideally you want your poses to be more sweeping and fluid, more dynamic and all that shit
there are videos by more experienced artists out there who can explain this concept far better than i can (i'd personally recommend this one and this one if you don't mind a longer watch)

as long is it's not actual porn i don't have a problem with it.
also, that shading on the boobs looks weird to me. i don't know why.

Yes, I'd agree in certain circumstances. However, this particular session is set up to have "quick" drawings done at the beginning while increasing the length of each drawing until the length reaches an hour.

This was an hour long drawing.

I do agree though.

Yes the shading was certainly wrong.
