If you don't view music as an art, then you don't understand music at all. Music is something that makes you feel sad, happy, scared, excited, mellow, tense. Anything really, music has the power to affect people, if that isn't an art then I don't know what is. And if a piece of music doesn't do that, then they're not doing it right.
