You're doing something wrong, a boring pose can still tell a story regardless if no action is actually taking place, think of the weight. Where's the center of gravity? Which leg has the most weight on it?

Hmmmm, they say the best way to make a good drawing is to tell a story with it.

Sifter, a lot of the times in your animations, your poses aren't exaggerated enough so they seem quite sluggish and slow. This seems to be the case with your drawings too. Honestly, draw a simple stickman with proper proportions in a cool exaggerated pose, if you need to get some reference poses. Then start fleshing out the stickman with a rib cage, hips, and circles for the primary muscles of the character. Then start drawing outlines and you will get there man :)
I just find it easy to sketch stickmen first to get my base pose looking right.

It pretty much put personality into your figure/drawing/painting. What is the person thinking, define their thoughts and current disposition with they're body language, with the flow of their figure and such.

And a pelvis, that's important too. I'd say more so.

This is pretty interesting. I'd say it's questionable how the competitive spirit works in painting, but I see no harm done in this. If I happened to live in Canada I'd definitely participate.

Nice job on that. Idk if it's an eraser mark or what, but right behind your neck there is this darker shading that looks out of place. Maybe that was intentional, I really don't know. It looks good though.
