What books are you reading?

Postby Jon » Wed Apr 09, 2014 9:57 am

I've read a whole lot of books, just reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Pretty good so far, though I'm not too far into it just yet.

Well I'm in the middle of the Kane Chronicles, but everything else is preventing me from progressing, and I know theyre meant for younger audiences but I love the idea of old gods living in the present. Oh and the author is Rick Riordan.

I haven't read a book before, but I did watch Cool Hand Luke during school once and that was some good shit. Anyway.

Bit of a bump, but books are cool.
I read a lot, it's been mostly fantasy series lately though.

Codex Alera: Jim Butcher (This was okay, much prefer Dresdon Files though,)

Discworld: Terry Pratchett

Mistborn: Brandon Sanderson

I guess I'm on a bit of a kick. re-read paradise lost last month, trying to see if I can get through the divine comedy this summer, for shits and giggles. I swear I have a life, and friends.

Yeah, great book, but I have to say I probably prefer the Kubrick film.
One of the very few times I've said that.

Finally got around to starting A Song of Ice and Fire. Only about half-way through the first book so far. Even though I've watched the TV series I'm finding it pretty enjoyable and I like GRRM's style of writing. Looking forward to continuing the series.
