I wish it would be legalized so people would stop fucking complaining about it and focus on something that matters.
For use in medicine it's a different story, in that context it's important. However for recreational use I feel like it's just the possessive nature of humankind at work, "I can't light up this plant and get faded and I am OUTRAGED by this." Just fucking give babbies their fucking weed so they can stop the waterworks for FUCKS sake.

On another note i'de like to point out that after about 3 tokes I slaughtered my family, eating their remains shortly after.

Just a month ago I was heading back to an apartment from a night club. Someone was shouting out, "Oy, faggot!" I turned around to see this guy drunk off his ass. He could barely keep his balance, but looked extremely angry. He continued to shout at me, what was possibly ten times or more with each time getting louder and angrier. I was basically just minding my own business with another friend of mine. This guy really wanted to fight, but thankfully he was quite a distance away and his friends were holding him back. My friend and I got back to the apartment safely.

Why is this socially acceptable and completely legal drug, legal, while marijuana isn't? I will never understand why a plant that just causes people to chill out, laugh and eat a lot is illegal when something much more dangerous and damaging isn't. Hopefully this almost completely harmless plant gets legalised soon so we can focus on bigger problems, and by legalise I mean for recreational use as well.

PS: I don't like night clubs much.

*turns around*

I don't care if I look like a faggot for turning around. Better that than having someone jump me from behind. :(

Funny story, I was in a leadership conference this summer that had a mock state government. I was elected by my city (which was the hallway of the dorm I stayed in) to be one of the assemblymen. One of the Senators actually talked to me and asked for my gmail to contribute to the development on the Marijuana "decriminalization" bill they were going to propose. It was actually well-written and almost seemed like a legitimate, yet plausible, proposal. Essentially, it was to be regulated in the manner alcohol is, which means it is not as accessible as cigarettes simply due to the social stigmas associated with cannabis. This relieves the tensions of conservative social outcry. Second, the government (or state in this matter) would tax the commercial sale of the product and recirculate it into much needed sectors of development such as education. One of the candidates for the Head of Education actually said this: "To solve our current education budget crisis, we only have one solution: WEED." Although it seemed irrational and achieved its rhetorical effect, it DID make sense in light of California's current situation. So yes, especially NOW, the government NEEDS this revenue because as of late, budget cuts and tax hikes have failed us. Instead of increasing the average tax, we need to diversify the things we tax. The decriminalization of the marijuana market will serve not only as a new tax resource but also as an essential weapon on the War on Drugs. Despite the social stigmas, there are tangible and very valuable assets we can gain from legalization.
