Woke up to this

Postby Raymond » Wed Nov 19, 2014 5:25 pm

So we got 4-5 feet of snow last night. It stopped snowing for a bit while I was filming this video, but were supposed to get another 24 inches tonight. This is probably one of the worst storms we've gotten in a very long time. I live in western New York, so we are used to the snow, but it's not very often we get a storm like this. There has been a driving ban for the last 24 hours and they said it won't be lifted for at least another 48 hours. They are also calling this a state of an emergency. Apparently the police department called up every house in the area asking people with snowmobiles to help out those who are stranded, so my cousin has been out doing that all day. People have been stuck in their cars on the highway for over 12 hours now. We've been shoveling like crazy, but we haven't even made a dent in our driveway, so we just gave up for now. On the bright side they closed work tomorrow and I didn't have to go in today because as you can see, my car is going no where. Also I'm sorry for the vertical video, it's the first time I've used my samsung to record anything and I forgot to film sideways.

Ha, tough luck for you and your car! XD

But seriously, I'm a little envious right now of you. It's been 5 or more years since we've had good snow here in Ireland, and I'd really like to see some. :(
Make a snowman or something and post a picture. :D

Absolutely crazy man! I'd love a bit of snow but could this be a bit TOO MUCH? Take advantage of it while you can and sledge off your roof!

Southern Erie, but like 5-10 miles from Buffalo.

I will try making one tomorrow after we get done shoveling. With all the snow we have in our yard, we could make it 50 feet tall lol.

Also this is way too much snow Juke, we usually get like a foot or two at most overnight, not 4-5 feet. And if I tried sledding off my roof, my roof would probably cave in with all that snow weight haha.

I wanted to try and make a snowman today, but I think it's too much work for what it's worth. As I was walking out in the yard, my feet were sinking in and the snow would come up to my chest. I took a few more pictures today. We are between 5-6 feet now and they are calling for another 1-2 feet tonight.

This was the outside of our back door yesterday.

And this is what it looks like outside my window right now.

If I go out again, I'll try to take more pictures.

@Stickid: I bet you pass out every time you get a boner.

Oh, so much snow... :)

Really jelly right now. You can make a snowman another time when some of the snow drops.

Trust me when it comes to brushing off your car and shoveling your driveway, It's not worth the little enjoyment you get out of it.

Here's a few more pictures of what we got done today. I finally shoveled the snow off my car, but now there are 5 feet tall mounds of snow all around it that I'm not sure what to do with.

The snow blower in the back of this picture is where our driveway leads to the road. Yea... we are not going anywhere for at least another two days.

And here's a picture of my cousin's jeep we managed to dig out.
