I'm glad this competition has seen 3 years, hope we could keep this going. Sorry I couldn't make this year's thread super bad ass, I've been busy with work and honestly didn't think I could top last year's thread lol (poster kicks ass though). Anyway, I said I'd destroy people this year, no? So let's get this underway! S.M.O.T.Y. 2017!!!!!! IF YOU MAKE STICKS JOIN!!!!! FUCK YOUR SCHEDULE!!!!! You have a month from when we start actually start, so you'd have plenty of time to wow the panties off everyone. Plus, Raymond is contributing actual cash prizes to the winner (via steam or paypal)! If that doesn't motivate you I don't know what will. I won't start this competition with under 13 people, that's the magic number. Join motherfuckers.
This is how it's happening:
ound 1
Basically just weaving out who will make it to the second round. There will be a deadline for you to submit your stick and then another week until the next deadline for the judges to pick the top 15 who will move on. Everyone who's participating in the competition will have a chance to make it to the second round.
Note: If only 15 join then the top 10, if only 10 then top 5, etc.
ound 2
The remaining 15 will have to make another stick, by the deadline, to be able to qualify for the top two.
ound 3
(Shit's gettin' real)
The remaining two will have to duke it out with their stick-making abilities and try to make something more impressive then the other. There will be no deadline for the last round, voting starts when both sticks are in. Even though there's no deadline, I do ask that if you manage to make it to the last round, you finish your stick in a timely manner, as courtesy to the judges and people awaiting to know the winner.
You will be judged based on creativity, overall look (this includes holes), and functionality.
All staff members will be considered for judges before I select any regular members, since Ray is letting us use the staff area. If only 1 or 2 spots are left after selecting from every staff member THEN I'll consider regular members as judges. Ray agreed to give temporary staff access to any regular member I select as a judge. So all judging will be done in the staff area. Judges, please post the name of the people who are proceeding to the next round, every round.

__You cannot submit any sticks that look too similar to a stick you've made before.___
__You cannot submit a stick made entirely or partially by someone else.___
__Your stick must be completed and submitted within the time frames given, or you're out of the competition.___
__There's no re-doing your entry, once it's in it's final.___
__Submit your stick to all three judges (via PM or Skype) to ensure your stick will be judged. Don't send it to me. I'm not a judge.___
__Full-bodies and bases included.___
__You can make absolutely any and everything for an entry, except backgrounds, it has to be an actual figure.___
__You do have the option of sharing what you made in this thread.___
__If you made a base, submit the individual stick and if you've made a full body, assemble it and submit a ONE frame animation with the lone stick in it.___
__Do not submit an animation accompanying your stick unless it explains how it functions (e.g. A transformer transforming), though you can share any animations in the thread.___
__Sprites are allowed to be incorporated into the stick as long as it's not the majority of the stick (e.g. They make up small details).___
__Even if we've already started, you have until the end of Round 1 to join and submit an entry.Participants
