Decided to move to a different mod pack and launcher. Now I play with the AT Launcher on the Yogpack.. 250+ mods *drool*. I'm at a loss for what to do again. Magical crops are really fun.

Currently trekking across the map to find a suitable place to set up my first main base.

Believe it or not I just downloaded Minecraft about 5 minutes ago, a bit late to the party but ah well. Anybody want to point me in the right direction for texture packs etc?

If you want a texture pack greater than x16, you need to install the Optifine mod or use the patcher. But for texture packs, I recommend

-Painterly
-John Smith Legacy
-Simplecraft
-Chroma Hills

Now if you want mods, don't add any that add new content to the game if this is your first time playing. But, I recommend
-Forge Modloader (MUST HAVE for basically every mod)
-Optifine
-Shaders

I installed the latest forger modloader, added the shaders mod into the mods folder, then in minecraft I put the SEUS preview thingy into the shaders folder. Now when I load a minecraft world it goes back to the Minecraft main menu, any help? :/

Here's my current world. I'm gonna finish up the town with maybe a couple more houses, and then I'm gonna go on to building an actual oldschool base underground somewhere. Also, the last couple snapshots are fucking awesome. New doors! Woooo! Gonna be fun to make them for my texture pack :P
