i seem to play one game until i get burned out on it and stop playing entirely for weeks at a time

it's like, i like playing video games but i don't really consider myself a gamer

Same, I enjoy video games, but there are few games that I can play a lot of and some of the best games I've played are also games I would probably not play again any time soon, if ever.

Honestly, I think creating another medium would create more confusion. Now we'll have a surplus of games that may or may not be considered a "video game", by whatever definition that would be. It would initiate unnecessary controversy among gamers. We already argue about enough shit as it is. If anything, I agree with Peebles' interpretation of what you meant. Another genre would make more sense.

same, I will binge on one game for a few days and then not touch video games for weeks, this is fine for games like top spin or fifa but it gets annoying when you're playing a story based game like dragon age or the walking dead and you don't play it for months and have no idea where you are when you pick it up again, I should really schedule myself for how I play games like that, even if it's just really loosely

I'm like this for everything though really

Alright, I agree to disagree indeed. But the line has to be somewhere or we'll end up calling every interactive piece of software a video game.
