Yeah Armada's Peach is definitely amazing, but more Falcon is always welcome. Also I'd just love to see them switch it up after all these years. Then again it's hype as fuck anyways so I don't even care that much.


Also I'm starting to lose a lot of hype for sm4sh to be honest. It feels so much slower and the Diddy complex is quite annoying because I can't DI for shit. Also fuck Sonic. I don't know, I'm not gonna jump on the sm4sh hate train before the metagame has decently started playing out but so far meh. Also the fact that with a lot of characters it's just upair the game makes it a whole lot less entertaining as well. It's just too good.

^ DI is probably one of the easiest yet most important things to learn, especially in Smash4. For Sm4sh you just hold it 90 degrees to the angle you would be knocked back from.

My main problem is that I haven't actually been playing that long, but I have followed the competitive scene for a while. I see all these things I could do, but I'm clumsy as fuck. Also I don't even know which way to DI in a Diddy combo so there's that.

I can't DI for my life. I'm just not good at knowing when i'm gonna get hit or preparing di during a nair and whatnot. Obvious DI like throws iseasier ofc. I try to just hold down and away when im getting hit and up/forward when smashed.

and yeah Caleb i was the same as you, I knew about everything but never used it. start practicing tech skill everyday if you can (this is obviously more melee/PM based but there are neat things you can learn in Sm4sh as well).

I want to, but the local scene in my city is basically null. Like i have to do a trip to go to anything and they organize shit for the next two days and on weekdays so i just can't.

DI isn't an easy thing to learn, but it's pretty easy to grasp the concept
the big thing with DI is knowing when to survival DI vs combo DI (something i'm still working on)
the easiest time to DI is when you know you're about to be hit (falcon punch, charged smash, obvious read), just tilt the stick perpendicular to the knockback and roll your cstick for asdi
besides that it's kind of just knowledge you gain as you play more, things like knowing that you can sdi out of falco's uthrow lasers instead of di the actual throw isn't exactly intuitive
