I mess around a lot with PM as we've talked a little about, mostly main Marth and Falco. Although I like to play with as many characters as I can, but I'm not really anything special on the game. I don't really play brawl and play way more pm than melee.

And thanks! I'm okay on techskill, but definitely lack a lot of experience which is like the most important thing on smash (mindgames, reads, correct DI, etc) but I don't play much besides of friendlies with buds.

back from the pre tournament friendlies
infodump before i TO for the tourney:
lucina is just marth without a tipper but probably more solid if she misses the tipper (aka more solid overall)
falco. fucking. sucks. i cannot think of any possible reason he would not be placed bottom tier when he makes your ds feel broken.
ZSS is god dair is the only laggy aerial she has and all her moves just feel solid and very quick. she also has a potentially very strong neutral b custom that stuns.
sheik: m2k thinks she sucks. i and everyone else who played thinks shes top tier or near it, very solid aerials
villager: just as op as they said and the most hype tree-fall-things ever
megaman: super fun and has a ridiculous tornado uair thing going on
cpt falcon: uncomfirmed but apparently someone was nair>fairing in one hop idk
robin: super solid and fun, idk what to say except play him/her
palutena: upsmash is like an edgeguarding wall lol, feels pretty solid and has a lot of zoning moves
bowser: fast and strong and heavy, potentially top character especially in teams
ridley: just kidding

anyway, i played m2k 6-7 times. he SD'd twice in those games / tried to fancy me and i kinda did something idk what happened it was too fast. got a shinespike gimp on him fox to marth in the first 5 seconds. every other game was an undeniable 4 stock (which happened to literally everyone in the club)
d1's very serious when he plays and he did a lot of palutena

Really bummed Falco feels so crappy, he was solid on brawl so that's sad. Sounds like those were some fun matches you had though.

Also will be looking to play as well whenever i get the WiiU version.

m2k says:
cpt. falcon is potentially the best char with a knee that kills at 50%, a dash attack and up air that combo into it, and overall fast moveset thats basically like a buffed version of melee falcon
falco should not be played for any reason ever
bowser is boring but strong (and the only character he could consistently win with in the friendlies lol)
charizard is like bowser but fun; fair feels like auto canceling version of sheik's fair from melee (knockback and feel and everything)
puff is very strong and her bair is hugely buffed; kills at 80% but has lower range than her melee version
customization has a lot of potential to be banned because of stuff like puff's rising/exploding rests, mario's fireballs, etc

also Captain Falcon utilts can Spike if you sweetspot it. puff can also combo into rest again which is nice. utilt is probably the best option from what I've seen on stream.
