Firefox taking up memory really quickly.

So ever since Windows forced me to update to 7.1, I've had this weird problem where Firefox would just increase in memory after a certain amount of time. Its annoying since everytime it reaches around 90% ish, Firefox just straigh up crashes on me. It hasn't happened before the update so its pretty annoying to think this was supposed to be an "update" when things have gotten shittier for me. Whats going on and how can I solve it?

I guess you've already been in this page, and proceeded to a check up of the extensions and plugins. If not, check them.

I think you can also find information in about:memory, but i don't know how.
(instead of http://www.~, write in the address bar about:memory)

How many tabs do you usually open, and how long they stay open ?
