Free To Play Games

What do you think about free to play games? I personally think some are ok, such as Warframe. Some are terrible.

TF2 is free, look at it and how strong it's been going for 7/8 years. Look at Nosgoth, look at dota 2 or leage of legends.
There are several free games out there that are as amazing as paid games.
Also this should be moved to gaming & computers if this topic will stay alive.

F2Ps are usually really shit, really good, or really niche.

Some of my favorite are:
Warframe, buggy as fuck for me though.
Elsword, mmmmmm the pvp.
PSO2/Waifu creator.
Vindictus/Slut creator
Closers TBA
Toribash
Blacklight Retribution

I love TF2 and I used to play Realm of The Mad God with friends, but that's about it. A large majority of F2P games aren't a genre I enjoy.

Just like Quake 3 Arena, but with nerfs and stupid loadouts.
My 5 years-old laptop can run the thing at 120 FPS, so that's good.

-Teeworlds.
Simple 2D-platform/shooter, with an effective engine (the hookshot mecanism is super cool)


Both have no payable options such as "make your character stronger or look different", it's all about skill (or idiotic aimbots, but they're easy to spot). That's why i love them as F2P.

DFO global is in open beta, f2p dungeon crawler/beat em up/mmo
PSO2 is good fun, patching and keeping it up to date can be wonky tho
